Nothing is more important than life. You will realize the simplicity of that point only when you confront death everyday.

Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar [The Garden Mall]

Have you try Mexican food before?

Fresca Mexican Kitchen & bar is one of the recommendation Mexican food recommended by The Fresca interior combines rustic charm, from textured wooden panels to elaborate brickwork arches, with contemporary industrial elements of exposed ceiling and tall metal doors. Well, you may pay a visit to this outlet at The Garden mall. However, is quite "small" scale cuisine yah but the Mexican feels are there. Mexico's rich cultural heritage and vibrancy are captured by the striking coloured talavera tiles as well as hand-crafted ceramics and paintings displayed around the restaurant.

A little information about Fresca :
Fresca (meaning "fresh" or "cool") brings classic Mexican cuisine to Kuala Lumpur. The idea came about by two adventure-seeking siblings who fell in love with Mexican food and the country's passion for La Vida.

Fresca specialises in "botanas", small plates, easy for sharing. Only the freshest ingredients are used - the pico de gallo and guacamole
are prepared daily and corn tortillas are home-made and hand-pressed the traditional way. However, Fresca is as much a bar as it is a restaurant - a great place to kick back, watch the world go by whilst enjoying a margarita or one of Fresca's very own cocktail creations.
Let's move it to our main discussion. After dragging for a long minutes among my uni-mates, we decided to let the "coming soon" brides to order foods for us as she recommended us :) The restaurant come with the first nacho before the main dishes are ready on table. Well, the nacho was normal but the specialty was their classic Mexican salsa sauce (it's mixed with avocado) :) Quite nice lerrr

Show time (main dishes) :

Well, I am not the key person who ordering those dishes. Therefore, I couldn't recall the name for first dish below :( Sorry. Well, is quite nice especially that tomatoes and chicken :) hehe taste similar with our Indian's food - chapatti.

Next, Tacos Ensenada. This dish is basically the flour tortillas with beer battered fish and homemade coleslaw. This classic fish taco originates from Ensenada, Baja California.
Tacos Ensenada

Follow up with Burritos. It is basically akin to our local "Poh Piah", this is a tasty flour tortilla wrap with chicken, cheese, avocado, onion and Mexican red rice.

Well. The last dish that we ordered was Fajitas. Opps, sorry, have no full frame picture :) hehe ... Well, the Fajitas found in traditional Mexican and popular in Tex-Mex cuisines. This dish served with guacamole, piico de gallo and a special chipotle cream sauce :) yummy yummy....

That's called a day for a nice and pleasant dinner at Fresca :) hehe

Data Structures and Algorithms : Surprised

An official email has been sent to my mailbox last Friday.

Eddren, we need your expertise to teach Data Structures and Algorithms, and your class will be started on next week.

It's really quite sudden and surprised because I didn't touched Data Structures and Algorithm for quite a long time after I graduate. Well, it's really hard to reject that email because the term of "Professional". Therefore, grab a reference book and prepare my lecture slides immediately.

After reading few chapters written by Adam Drozdek, I realized that's not an easy job to deliver the Data structures knowledge (maybe I'm still a junior lecturer). My principle of teaching is to apply multiple teaching styles and simplified my lecture notes in order to ensure that students can understand my lecture easily. However, this is really a big challenge for me in this semester.

If you did watched about Mission Impossible 2 ? I guess the great motivation from that movie was the word spoken by the actor - IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

Just pray for Eddren. Good Luck !!!

In order to make this event a success with meaningful, staffs and students are required to write any wishes to be pasted on the soft-board before redeemed a free apple.

Let's promote our healthy life everyday with multidimensional methods instead of giving the boring advices. They can do it, and I believe you can do it better :)

UNITEN Journey of Knowledge Promotes Experiential Learning

On 19-21 April 2014, a group of 34 students and 6 lecturers from UNITEN participated in a trip called Journey of Knowledge. The participants visited Rumah Barkat Anak Yatim, Bukit Chagar, Johor Bahru, National University of Singapore (NUS), Sekolah Tun Fatimah (STF) ,and Universiti Tekologi Malaysia (UTM). This event was jointly organized by Foundation Club and other clubs under College of Foundation and General Studies (CFGS).

The main objective of the trip is to share the knowledge among the universities visited. In the hunger of knowledge, the participants did not forget the children who are in need. They donated stationeries and food to Rumah Anak Yatim Barkat, Bukit Chagar, Johor Bahru.

Visits to NUS and UTM gave a really valuable knowledge to the participants. Knowledge sharing session held in both universities opened up participants' mind about engineering and information technology. The group also visited Sekolah Tun Fatimah, one of the best schools in Malaysia to expose an exciting campus experience to the students.

The experience through the journey of knowledge increased awareness in students that it was very important to learn from others especially from the high-ranked university and contribute back to society through corporate social responsibility programmes.

The programme director, Ammar Amjad Abdul Wahid said this programme is parallel to the motto of UNITEN, Generates Professional. "I believe that this programme really shows that UNITEN is generating professionals".
